I'm really considering going away on a learning journey to D.C. It's been 13 years and I didn't see enough during that time. I don't know whether one would consider this a sign but, I received an email from Campus Progress. They're holding their annual conference and one day will be focused solely on Journalism. It's a free event -- of course I have to pay my own way but, I think I'll regret it if I don't go. I might have a place to stay because my cousin lives in Stafford, Virginia, which is about an hour from Washington D.C.

I've been fortunate enough to receive some needed funds recently, so why not put the money to good use?

My mom is pushing me to go, but at the same time, she's also hinting that she needs to get away too. I just might take her with me.
